About the WCC
The Wireless Certification Commission (WCC) is an independent standards and certification body for Wi-Fi networks.
The WCC brings together experienced Wi-Fi industry professionals with a common objective: to improve the way Wi-Fi networks are specified, designed, installed and verified.
Wi-Fi should be engineered — not simply installed
Many Wi-Fi networks are still designed and installed without being required to meet a clearly defined engineering standard.
A conventional site survey or heatmap does not, by itself, demonstrate that a network will provide the coverage, capacity, performance, reliability and security that its users and applications require.
